Ephesians 1:6 – graced in the Beloved

The purpose of the treasury, that will be given by GOD, is that it’s one grand homage to the glory of His grace. He gives for free and that’s the core of the glory. The fact that GOD graces us (favours us), puts all the spotlights on Him who favours. Yet it also speaks of the recipients. The word, used by Paul, is used only one more time, in Luke 1: 28, when the heavenly messenger comes to Mary and greets her in this way: “Rejoice, favoured one!” When Mary heard this greeting, she was touched and she wondered what might be meaning of it.
Being-favoured means obtaining a great privilege. But it’s more. Who is favoured by God, will be a reason of joy. Several translations say: made enjoyable. Who is graced, will be a source of joy for others.
Christ Jesus is obviously “the Beloved” of God. Who is “in the Beloved” shares therewith in all which makes him precious. Who is “in the beloved”, is not only accepted, but made enjoyable in him!
