Recently the book In vrijheid geheel anders [Entirely Different in Freedom] appeared, written under the pseudonym Anastasia Zoë.
I myself am not a novel reader, and therefore I do not venture into writing an actual review. Still, I would like to mention this book, because many of its substantive lines closely connect with what is brought forward on GoedBericht.nl (UltimateGoodNews.com).
The author deliberately writes under a pseudonym. I know who the writer is and also know her somewhat personally. Moreover, I have been substantively involved in what she brings forward in this book. Precisely for that reason I would like to mention the book here. The form is that of a novel, but the content touches on many Biblical themes that are also dealt with extensively on GoedBericht.nl (UltimateGoodNews.com).
The story interweaves personal struggle with themes such as Israel, prophecy, God’s plan, judgment, homosexuality, creation, male and female, and the question of how God’s love relates to judgment.
What I find special is that it is not a “pious novel” in the traditional sense, but a story in which there is also real seeking, wrestling, and thinking. At the same time, many readers of GoedBericht.nl (UltimateGoodNews.com) will encounter all kinds of recognizable lines and insights. In the foreword, the author also explicitly refers to this.
For anyone interested in a novel with a distinctly Biblical and prophetic angle, this certainly seems to me to be recommended!
