1Corinthians 2:8 – If they would have known thát!

The cross was the great defeat of GOD’s Son. At least, that was what the world thought. In reality, it was GOD’s wisdom that the world in its wisdom would not know Him (1:21). For GOD chooses to save by the foolishness of the word of the cross that GOD’s power and wisdom are hidden (1:24).
GOD’s strength was demonstrated in the resurrection of Christ (2 Cor. 13:4). “The chief men of this eon” had sealed the heavy stone in front of the tomb. That sealed their victory. The breaking of this seal would inexorably lead to the death penalty. But it was exactly GOD’s wisdom which broke the seal on the third day and by that death was conquered! Isn’t that funny?
‘The chief men of this eon’ including all power that are operating behind the scene (Eph. 2:2, 6:12), were not aware of this Divine ‘trick’. If they would have known, they would not have crucified Him who is now “the Lord of glory”. Who laughs last…
