Ephesians 1:10 – All
04-04-2018 - Posted by Andre Piet… to have an administration of the complement of the eras, to head up all in the Christ – both that in the heavens and that on the earth –
“All”. What an incomprehensible magnitude is hidden behind this word. It refers here to everything in the heavens and on the earth. In Philippians 2:10, Paul describes it as all the celestials, terrestrials and subterranean who will all recognize Jesus Christ as Lord. To the glory of God, the Father.
But before we get there, first there will be eras in which Christ will rule. Didn’t the angel tell Mary that her son would rule for the eons (luke 1:33)? First, in “the thousand years” in which satan will be bound and the nations will no longer be deceived. Then, in a new Jerusalem that will descend from heaven on a new earth. One eon will exceed the previous one in glory. But many will not experience these eons because they will be dead. For the first or for the second time.
However, if death has been nullified as the last enemy, then Christ’s reign will be complete. No more death – all people made ALIVE! What a crown on Christ’s work!
