Titus 2:11 –   All humanity!

For the saving grace of God made its advent to all humanity…

The sentence above is part of Paul’s instruction to believing slaves to loyally submit to their masters in order to be “adorning the teaching that is of God our Saviour in all things.” A practice that serves to demonstrate how great this teaching is!

What does “the teaching of God our Saviour” mean? This: God’s saving grace has appeared to all people. And that means, as Paul puts it in 1 Timothy 4 verse 10: God is the Savior of all people! This teaching is completely at odds with any human philosophy that says what man must do to achieve salvation. It is also at odds with all religion that tells what man must do for God to become our Saviour.

“The teaching of God our Savior” is not a call or a program. There is nothing to earn. It is a message. A message that illuminates every mortal like a beam of light. That death has been conquered and that all people will be made alive. Free of charge. The living GOD saves all people! What a hope, joy and strength comes from that. This light dispels all darkness. Let it shine!
