Romans 11:26 – All Israel shall be saved

…callousness, in part, on Israel has come, until the complement of the nations may be entering. And thus all Israel shall be saved, according as it is written, Arriving out of Zion shall be the Rescuer. He will be turning away irreverence from Jacob.

When God’s present work among the nations is complete (and enters into the fulness), from then on also the partial callousness of Israel will come to an end. The events associated with this transition are described in detail elsewhere and are a major theme of Bible prophecy.

In entering “the complement of the nations” we are probably thinking of ’the snatching away’ as Paul speaks about it in 1 Thessalonica 4. The ecclesia enters on that occasion, ie it will take its position in heaven (Rev.12). :5,6). The time of Israel’s great tribulation will then begin on earth, which will end after three and a half years at the appearance of the Lord (together with those who are His) on the Mount of Olives (Matt.24:30,31). The people still left in the land will see Him whom they once pierced. Then all the nation from all quarters will be gathered in the wilderness (Ezek.20:33-38). Only a believing nation of Israel remains and will go up to the land led by its Messiah (Micah 2:12,13). Thus, in that way “all Israel will be saved”!
