Ephesians 3:21 – All transcendent!

… to Him be glory … for all the generations of the eon of the eons! Amen!

We know “the song of songs”, that is the top song. Or “the king of kings”, that is the highest king. Or “the holy of holies”, that is the most holy. So “the eon of the eons” is the transcendent eon (world era).

Christ will reign for “the upcoming eons” (2: 7; Revelation 11: 15). First during the Millennium on this earth. Afterwards the judgment at the “great white throne” will take place, where all dead people will rise, who were dead until that moment.  Those whose names are not written in the book of life will be cast in “the lake of fire”. They die “second death”. And then the final eon, “the eon of eons” will follow. A new heaven and a new earth (Revelation 21). Christ is still reigning there. Then many are still dead (for the second time).

Christ must reign until he will abolish the last enemy, the death (1 Corinthians 15: 22- 28). He achieves that by making all people alive, and give the Life that he revealed as Firstfruit! Nobody will miss. The Son will hand back a perfect Kingdom to his Father.
