1 Corinthians 15:48,49 – Soilish ones and celestial ones

Such as the soilish one is, such are those also who are soilish, and such as the Celestial One, such are those also who are celestial. And according as we wear the image of the soilish, we should be wearing the image also of the Celestial

Adam is the ancestor of all people and both your and my DNA can be traced back to him. As it was built from the soil of the earth, so are we. Perishable, without honor, weak and soulful. Adam made his mark on all mankind in its present, perishable form.

But what is true for Adam and modern mankind is also true for “the last Adam,” “the second man.” He is the image and proto-type of all humanity in the vivification. Heavenly!

Compare it to a caterpillar that is attached to the earth and goes through all kinds of development stages: from egg to caterpillar. Then the caterpillar “dies” and becomes a kind of mummy. If the cocoon breaks open over time, a complete butterfly will emerge in one go! No longer attached to the earth, but destined for heaven. With capabilities that the caterpillar had no idea about. It aptly illustrates the difference between “the soilish ones” and “the celestial ones”!
