A new book by A. Keizer…

Almost a hundred years old and still writing a book… A. Keizer did it. But then again, he certainly has something to say! Here is the announcement of a book soon to be released:

IN THIS CENTURY Jesus Christ will return.

Andries Keizer (1909) has written several books about the Bible. This latest book concerns the return of Jesus Christ in the 21st century. The coming of Jesus Christ as Israel’s Messiah was already announced in the 8th century BCE by the prophet Isaiah. His birth, crucifixion on Golgotha, and resurrection from the dead took place in the 1st century CE, in the years -3 to 30. The promise of His return to earth will be fulfilled in our 21st century, in Jerusalem. This book informs the reader about what prophecy says will precede the return of Jesus Christ.

What is to be expected is not a restoration of church institutions, but a breakthrough in the realization that God Almighty is the Father of all mankind. He had Jesus Christ undergo the death penalty in order to acquire life for all mankind through His resurrection. He has given Jesus Christ all authority in heaven and on earth. In Israel, the appearance of a second prophet Elijah is to be expected, who will call Israel back to Moses and to the Messiah, Jesus Christ.

A significant part of the book concerns the Immanuel prophecy from Isaiah 7. This prophecy unfolds in three phases and reaches its provisional climax in the revelation to Paul that the Almighty reckons all humanity as His family in Christ. “God with us” turns out to be far more concrete than we often think. The prophecy awaits its fulfillment with the return of Jesus Christ in this century.

The book will undoubtedly give fresh food for thought and encourages further investigation into what the Bible says about these matters. It is published by Merweboek in Sliedrecht and available in bookstores: ISBN 978-90-5787-109-2
