Daniel 4:11 – Who has the authority? 

…that the living may know that the Supreme is in authority in the kingdom of mortals, and He gives it to whomsoever he will and He sets up over it a lowly one of mortals.

Democracy means: the people rule. She determines who her government leaders are… she thinks. In reality, the people themselves are a plaything of countless factors of which they are not aware.

The Scriptures say that nations are esteemed before GOD as a drop in the bucket and as a speck of dust on the scales. It does not carry any significant weight. And if that is true of all nations put together, what is a single individual among so many billions of people ?!

It is the SUPREME who gives the kingship to whom He wills. And even the lowest of them He places in that position. Isn’t that striking ?! It is not necessarily the best and most qualified who are at the helm. Because a big mouth, a lot of money or a lot of votes do not necessarily guarantee a high-quality policy. Are you worried about that? Or do you thank GOD that He disposes of everything? Only then will you know the secret of “a mild an quiet life” (1Tim.2: 2).
