Romans 1:26 – GOD gives them over…

 Therefore God gives them over to dishonorable passions. For their females, besides, alter the natural use into that which is beside nature.

Where the world replaces the Creator with the creature (: 25) this results in replacing “the natural use” of woman and man. It is the inevitable next stage in the development of “reprehensible thinking”. Remember that GOD is not doing anything about this. As in verse 24, it is said that GOD gives them over in  (not: to!) it. Where the world takes the turn off the right path, GOD allows them to do it. If one wants to ignore the ‘dead end’ sign, one has to find out by trial and error. However, the truth will come out anyway. If you don’t want to hear, you just have to feel.

The believers in Rome are not called upon to stop these evil developments. If that were possible at all. Paul sheds light on these matters so that his readers would understand what is going on. But the moral disapproval is not a political statement. The world today is much like the one Paul describes here. We see it, we notice it… and we can let it go. Just as GOD does. In due time He sets everything straight.
