Romans 3:23,24 – All
24-04-2020 - Posted by Andre PietFor all sinned and are wanting of the glory of God. Being justified gratuitously in His grace, through the deliverance which is in Christ Jesus…
This is the Evangel in a nutshell. Verse 23 describes the problem of humanity. All sinned, i.e. all miss the mark. And all are wanting of the glory of God. We are sinners and pitiful mortals, no one excepted.
But then, like a beam of light in a pitch-dark night, verse 24 continues, “… Being justified gratuitously.” Who is it about? Obviously about the same “all” as in verse 23! If it is true that all mankind falls under the problem of verse 23, then it is also true that all mankind is included in GOD’s solution of verse 24. The reason is mentioned twice. It is ‘gratuitously’ and because of ‘His grace’.
The truth of the Good Message is so simple and crystal clear. And please note: it is an announcement. Whether you believe it or not, you are a sinner and you miss the glory of God. And whether you believe it or not, you will be justified free of charge through the deliverance which is in Christ Jesus. No escape!
