The golden colors of autumn

Autumn is reputed to be a bleak season. The light is less; the days are shorter; the temperature drops and the weather is often unpleasant. It is a forerunner of winter… when the trees are bare, the weather is icy and nature looks dead. Indeed, “looks”, for it is only apparently so. Later, as the spring comes, the same nature buds forth new life! However dreary autumn presents itself… sometimes there are those golden moments, when the sun shows itself and her rays emblazon the death of nature. Then, GOD comforts us amidst all the deadness, with the imperishable glory (of which gold is an emblem) that is awaiting! ——————————— translation: Peter Feddema
