Moshe Feiglin, former deputy speaker of the Knesset, gave his view of Israel’s future in a recent interview. He speaks openly about Israel as a leading power in the Middle East, with an explicit national and religious calling.
According to Feiglin, Israel should no longer see itself as a small, defensive state, but as a nation that determines its position in the region and decisively settles conflicts. Politics and Biblical notions of identity, land, and destiny emphatically run into one another in this.
Striking is how explicitly he himself puts it: “You have to open the Bible to understand it… it is written that on the Temple Mount the Third Temple will be built.”
With that, developments are taking shape that align with the prophetic lines of Scripture, in which Israel, the land, and the temple once again stand at the center.
