Ephesians 4:2 – humility and meekness

The logical consequence, but also the privilege that we, believers, have been called, is that we may reflect the value of it in our walk. To demonstrate already what we will be soon. Dedicated for the throne and the reign of heaven and earth!
But the high position that is given to us, isn’t a single reason that we would feel superior. It is given to us in grace. For free and not out of you (2: 8). Therefore, Paul writes: “with all humility”. Our calling may be so high, but we should never forget that the position is not out of us, but given as a lot. That knowledge makes us humble (= meek) towards each other.
The humility and meekness, Paul speaks of, is above all shown in patience, and in bearing which one other in love. In excepting the other with all his or her inabilities. Especially where we have the most difficulties with another, at home, at work or in a faith community, the perfect opportunity appears, to show GOD’s love.
