Ephesians 4:1 – walk worthily

Paul continues what he left off in 3: 1. The rest of Ephesians 3 was an interruption. Like also the secret revealed to him, concerns an interruption in the history. That he is “the prisoner of the Lord”, is typical for the ministry that was entrusted to him. He had been imprisoned in Jerusalem because of his message under the nations.
The first three chapters he extensively explained with which mission we were called. Intended for the highest, heavenly level, as the body of Christ, to show the transcendent wealth of GOD’s grace. That’s to which we were called for the upcoming eons (2: 7).
But what is the interest for our walk today? The answer is: incredibly much! Because if we are conscious of the value of our mission, every step we walk will shine in an extraordinary way. Our walk, where we go or stand, what we do or leave, will reflect the value of our call. It makes all relations in which we are placed, valuable. For the hope of our call will shine through it. That is worthily!
