1 Corinthians 12:18-21 – In need of each other
09-10-2019 - Posted by Andre PietYet now God placed the members, each one of them, in the body according as He wills. Now if it were all one member, where were the body? Yet now there are, indeed, many members, yet one body. Yet the eye cannot say to the hand, “In have no need of you,” Or, again, the head to the feet, “I have no need of you.”
The saying goes: the whole is always more than the sum of its parts. Combine an eye, an ear, a hand and a foot, and that will not produce a body. A body is a collection of members and functions that together form a unity. And complement each other. The “organization” of a body is so mega complex that only GOD can make it. But just as He directs it in your and my body, so He also directs it in the ecclesia, the body of Christ. GOD places each one in that body, exactly where He wants it.
The body of Christ is not a loose sand or the sum of individuals. No, it forms a body and a network. Where we need each other (mutually). GOD places in the body and we can take our place there!
