Encouraging Responses

The GoedBericht site certainly does not shy away from confrontation. Willingly accepting the unpleasant responses that sometimes come with it. Below are three recent emails of a very different kind. I’d like to share them with you.

Hello André Piet,

I just wanted to respond to the website. I ended up there via the EO youth page (Dutch evangelical public broadcasting organization) and read through a few items.

Glad I came across it; initially I was a bit hesitant about the comments on the Trinity and the two natures (Catholic background), but I found it very recognisable in terms of how I came to know God myself many years ago. In my defiance, I once asked for a single word to describe God. That word was “Love.” And after reading your articles, I thought of that again.

Lately, I’ve been heavily longing and praying—and a bit despairing—for the salvation of people I care about, but who don’t want anything to do with Jesus… and now, I’ve received the answer to that longing. Well, I just wanted to let you know. I feel really joyful now.
