1Corinthians 3:10 – The grace of GOD

According to the grace of God which is being granted to me, as a wise foreman I lay a foundation, yet another is building on it. Yet let each one beware how he is building on it.

It was the grace of GOD who called Paul and changed him from an enemy into a friend. It was the grace of GOD which he was allowed to trumpet among the nations. The grace of GOD which saves all humans (Tit. 2:11; 1Tim. 4:10). In Christ, who, after all, died to give incorruptible life to all people. That is the fundamental truth that Paul had placed in Corinth as a wise architect. Thus, on this basis, GOD’s building, the ecclesia was born (:9).

It is also solely on this basis on which one would build further, that is, teach. Much earlier, Paul once had left Corinth and even Apollos, who came after him, was no longer working among them (1Cor.16:12). But Paul’s concern about them was no less.

It is fundamental that one stays with and builds on what Paul has laid down. All the education that is given would be based on it. On the grace of GOD and on nothing else!
