Ephesians 1:20 – seating at His right hand

… rousing Him from among the dead and -seating Him at His right hand…

The glorification of Christ begins with his resurrection from the dead. GOD rouse him in immortality. Never again he will die. He is the Firstfruit, i.e. like Christ was vivified, all shall be (1 Corinthians 15:  22).  Each in his own class.

After Christ’s resurrection, forty days later, GOD seated Him at His right hand. Right always stands for priority and honour.  As left is symbol of subordination.  Also in politics the terns right and left evoke these thoughts. Right defends the concerns of those who are privileged.

On the contrary, left worries about them who are subordinated, left. The rousing of Christ was the beginning of his elevation. Resurrected from the atmosphere of the death. But afterwards also “seating at the right hand of the throne of Majesty in the heavens (Hebrews 8: 1). That is his position now. Not visible for people. Like the high priest behind the veil, at the golden “mercy seat”. On the earth he is completely concealed. However, he is “crowned with honour and glory”. That is Christ’s position today. And also of all who are “in him”.
