Romans 3:23,24 – All people
12-11-2020 - Posted by Andre PietFor all sinned and are wanting of the glory of God. Being justified gratuitously in His grace through the deliverance which is in Christ Jesus.
What a great statement Paul is making here! And how solid, logical and clear does the truth of the Evangel appear here. All sinned. Every human is a mortal and “goal misser.” All are also short of GOD’S glory. Regardless of whether that shortage is large or small. It is like scoring for an exam: fail means fail. And even “almost passed” means… failed. All of humanity, without a single exception, is covered by the outcome of this report.
But now the other side of the coin. As all sinned, and all lack GOD’S glory, so are all justified freely in the grace of Him. As universal as the dark side of sin and deficit is, just as universal is the justification free of charge. “Gratuitously” means: without any condition or consideration. For it is “in His grace”.
Our lineage from Adam guarantees that every human being is born a poor sinner. That is how salvation in Christ Jesus guarantees that every human being is justified. Thát is the Evangel!
