‘Al-Aqsa is not located on the site of the Jewish temple’

Someone pointed me to a news item published today in the Dutch newspaper Dagblad de Pers.
The above article remarkably aligns with the groundbreaking research conducted by the late Dr. Ernest L. Martin, who passed away in 2002. In his book The Temples That Jerusalem Forgot, he argues that both Solomon’s temple and Herod’s temple did not stand where the current Islamic shrines are located, but rather directly to the south of that—above the Gihon Spring.
According to Martin, not one stone was left upon another of Herod’s temple (cf. Luke 21:6), and the Western Wall is nothing more than a remnant of the Roman Fort Antonia.
