Many had been looking forward to it, and today the moment has arrived. A completely renewed version of the advanced Bible software program ISA – Interlinear Scripture Analyzer, is now available. Free of charge, no less. And that’s truly remarkable when one considers all that is possible with this interlinear Bible program. ISA basic 2.0 looks even more polished than the previous version, it runs faster, the interface is simpler, the search function is quicker, searching with wildcards is easier, and so on. The Hebrew text is now provided with the Masoretic vowel points, the Hebrew Strong representation has been checked and is now equipped with a lexicon. In addition, the sublinear CHES (concordant-idiomatic) has been fully corrected and now follows exactly the ‘official’ grammar of the Westminster Hebrew Morphology. The NT databases have also been completely updated and corrected. Perhaps the most characteristic feature of ISA, the Concordant View, has been further developed and made more advanced. Through this window, all sublinears can be directly checked for concordance. And this is just a glimpse of what this new version has to offer. If you want to know more about what’s new, you should take a look at the ISA website yourself.

ISA is the work of two men who devote the majority of their time pro Deo (!) to the development of this unique Bible program. And they’ve been doing this for many years already. And the work continues. From the beginning, the decision was made in principle to make the basic ISA package freely available on the internet, but in addition, work is now being done on a relatively inexpensive, professional version. That’s the next step in its development.
And the developers have yet another very exciting and unique project in mind… but I’ll have to say more about that at a later stage.
