Free energy?

The Irish company Steorn claims to have accidentally discovered a mega-revolutionary technology, one that would once and for all render the global energy problem a thing of the past. A scientific jury will soon begin testing whether Steorn’s claims hold up. Naturally, for now, skepticism prevails in the academic world—it goes against everything known so far about energy. On the other hand, the way Steorn operates strongly suggests that the company’s engineers are absolutely convinced of what they’ve discovered. They are holding off on exploiting the technology until a positive verdict is given by the scientific jury. Just imagine: no more expensive gas bills, no more trips to the petrol station. Always and everywhere in the world an unlimited supply of energy available…
That is what this technology promises…

Now just imagine (hypothetically) that Steorn’s claim turns out to be true… A New Age would dawn! Nothing would be impossible for mankind anymore. The ambition of humanity in Babel (Genesis 11) would become reality. If the limiting factor of the global economy—energy shortage—were to disappear, it’s hard to imagine the scale of the impact this would have on the world community. Not only technologically and economically, but perhaps even more so psychologically. Man would see himself as God: everything is possible.

Could free energy be the trigger that brings the era of the end time (with its false messianic expectations) within the horizon of our generation? We’ll wait and see.
