A good friend called me yesterday and asked: “It has been so quiet on Goedbericht.nl in recent weeks. Is everything all right?” “Yes indeed, the most important things in life are fortunately going very well,” I was able to reply. Even though I have ended up socially in somewhat turbulent waters. It even turned out that since last Monday I have been without a job, which in practice means that I am actually more occupied with work because of it. The part-time job (3 to 4 days a week) that I did was deliberately always simple (production worker in horticulture), so that I could do my work ‘on autopilot’ and be occupied in my thoughts with “the Scriptures.” I did the work with my hands so that my head was free. Now it is, of necessity, temporarily the other way around: my hands are free, but my head is being taken up—more than I would like—by ‘previous job issues’ as well as by finding a suitable new job.

Anyway, because of these circumstances my head has been somewhat less inclined in recent weeks to posting new contributions on goedbericht.nl. How did it go again? Work is nice, but it takes up so much free time…
