Romans 3:24 – through the deliverance in Christ Jesus

Are you reading it right? Justification of all! On what condition? “Gratuitously”. For what reason? “In the grace of Him”. How and why? “Through the deliverance which is in Christ Jesus.”
“Salvation” has in it the idea of liberation by paying a ransom. So a release. In 1 Timothy 2: 5 and 6, Paul writes, “For there is one GOD and one mediator of GOD and men, the man Christ Jesus, who gives himself a ransom for all“. When Christ Jesus died, he paid the price. He gave himself “unto death, yes, the death of the cross.” Why? To be raised in incorruption as a Firstfruits according to GOD’S promise.
It is this Life that definitely leaves sin and death behind. Life that GOD has predestined for every human. As certain as it is that we are all mortals now, so certain is it “through the deliverance which is in Christ Jesus” that all will be vivified (Rom. 5:18; 1 Cor. 15:22). Made alive, like Christ the Firstfruits! Death is only temporary but Life triumphs without end!
