Newsflash: Trump’s Upcoming Visit to Jerusalem and Cairo

President Donald Trump will travel this coming Monday (October 13) to Jerusalem, where he will address the Knesset, the Israeli parliament. He will then continue on to Cairo, where world leaders will gather to further develop the details of a historic peace plan for the Middle East.

Trump speaks of an agreement that, according to him, is not only beneficial for Israel but also for Arab and Islamic nations, and for the world as a whole. The plan enjoys broad international support — remarkably even from countries such as Iran and Russia – and, according to Trump, offers a unique opportunity for a breakthrough toward lasting peace.

Part of the plan involves the establishment of an international “Board of Peace,” which will oversee reconstruction and implementation. What stands out is that, according to Trump, the parties involved aim not only to rebuild Gaza but the entire Middle East. There is said to be an unprecedented unity and willingness among countries such as Egypt, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE to actively invest in stability and recovery.

“Everyone is tired of fighting,” said Trump. “We now have a chance at something we’ve heard about our entire lives: peace in the Middle East.”
