Romans 1:21 – to glorify and thank Him as GOD

Because, knowing God not as GOD do they glorify or thank Him, but in vain were they made in their reasonings, and darkened is their unintelligent heart.

In this verse it is indicated compactly and with precision where the world is going wrong. Even though one is religious, one does not glorify or thank God as GOD. As the Almighty and Omniscient who assigns everything and everyone a place. Outside of Him, nothing can happen.

The knowledge that there is One who is in control of everything and never lets anything to take place in vain gives everything in my existence a wonderful shine. Because it gives GOD the honor that is due to Him and it makes me aware that I can thank Him in everything. Because nothing ever goes wrong with Him. That a lot is happening that I don’t understand doesn’t have to bother me. Because He is GOD, He knows!

How poorly human therapies compare to this. They want to teach us to ‘give things a place’. Feel free to forget. We don’t have to give things a place. GOD gives everything a place. Just acknowledge that He is able to do what people can’t … and don’t have to!
