Romans 1:21 – Intelligent heart?

Because, knowing God not as GOD do they glorify or thank Him, but in vain were they made in their reasonings, and darkened is their unintelligent heart.

That God is GOD means (as we saw) that He is the Placer. He assigns everything and everyone the right place and the right time. If there were multiple gods (polytheism), god could never be GOD. Because what one god decides could thwart the other god. If, on the other hand, there is one GOD, then He is absolute. Everything then falls under his domain. Nothing excepted. Space and time are also a creation of Him. He is not dependent on it. He is the Disposer because He is the Designer and Creator of all.

Without this premise, reasoning is doomed to a dead end. You can be praised as intellectual, but if you don’t let God be GOD, you are unintelligent. You made a false start.

So if God is GOD, then He is all-powerful and all-knowing. That is logic, theo-logic. Then nothing ever goes wrong with Him. What He wants to accomplish is not limited by His ability. That recognition makes our thinking ability efficient. And it illuminates our hearts with an endless view!
