This past Wednesday in Rijnsburg, the ISA (Interlinear Scripture Analyzer) was, in a sense, festively “christened.” About seventy people gathered for the introduction of this magnificent Bible program. Three speakers took the floor. Menno Haayman, in his talk, conveyed what motivates his contribution to the ISA project. In short: the Bible program was made for ‘Bereans’ who daily and digitally want to examine the Scriptures “whether these things are so.” André de Mol (the creator of the program) then demonstrated in his presentation the advanced search capabilities the ISA program offers.

After the break, I explained that never before has there been a time when the original Scriptures were as easily and freely accessible as they are today! All conceivable forms of biblical information are now available at the press of a button for virtually anyone with an interest. Added to this is the fact that church institutions today are scarcely able to hinder believers in this regard. Certainly, the darkness around us is increasing more and more. That should not surprise us, for it is exactly what Scripture leads us to expect. But isn’t it amazing that under these very circumstances the light of God’s Word is all the more able to illuminate our path?!
