Geert-Jan on Homosexuality, Gender & GOD

On September 11th, I had the opportunity to have an extensive conversation at my home with Geert-Jan van der Molen about topics that dominate the daily news in Western media, such as homosexuality, gender, and LGBT issues. Geert-Jan has firsthand experience with these matters, as he spent many years in the gay scene. How did he end up there? What role did his upbringing and the religious environment (Reformed Liberated) in which he was raised play in this?

A game changer for Geert-Jan was the realization that God is GOD—the One with whom nothing ever goes wrong and who loves unconditionally. This radically changed his way of thinking. Consequently, it also transformed his experience and the choices he began to make. The Bible came alive for him, and he came to understand how profoundly the LGBT ideology has derailed. It lacks any awareness of God as Creator and the significance of male and female. However, traditional church thinking also fails to provide answers to the big questions.
