everything will be well – because God is GOD

There are those criticisms that do not agree with a single word—and yet exactly state what is true. Like this one:
There is a movement that says that everything will turn out well, and humankind is seen as passive. God is the director of everything in our life, so indeed it will be well.
Indeed. All’s well that ends well, is not a devout wish—it is the essence of the Gospel. Why? Because God is GOD. He is not a power beside others, but the Disposer of all things.
JAHWEH created all for His purpose, yes, even the ungodly for the day of evil.
(Proverbs 16:4)
For out of Him, and through Him, and to Him are all things.
(Romans 11:36)
God consigned all under disobedience that He might show mercy to all.
(Romans 11:32)
How clear can it be?! Think of Joseph. His brothers acted evil—but God disposed it. Precisely through their malice he became their savior (Genesis 50:20). He thereby became even “savior of the world” (Zaphnath‑Paaneah, Gen. 41:45).
The suggestion that “everything will turn out well” denies judgment is plainly false. Because precisely because God sets all right, judgment must occur. He judges—sharp, painful, and often even deadly—but always with His eyes on Life that is stronger than death (2 Timothy 1:10).
Is humankind then passive? Of course not. Joseph acted. His brothers also. But no one operated outside the script of the Director. The human will is no threat to God’s plan—it is part of it.
Those who say God’s directing leads to passivity confuse rest with laziness and trust with stagnation. Only one who knows the end is fixed dares truly to live. Only one who knows God disposes all things can rest—and act—with trust.
Let us be honest: what truly lies behind this religious opposition is pride. The will to be director oneself. By denying God as the Director of all things, one exalts oneself. I chose. I sought. I turned to God.
As long as humankind sees oneself as the director, the Gospel remains a threat. But whoever acknowledges who God truly is suddenly sees: GOD chooses. He seeks. He writes His story—from beginning to end. And therefore everything will be well.
