Newsflash: David de Vos steps away: “The evangelical coat no longer fits me”

After more than two decades of large-scale campaigns, youth conferences, and evangelism tours, Dutch evangelist David de Vos (42) is making a radical turn: he is ending his ministry and will dissolve his organization Go and Tell as of January 1, 2026.

Already at the release of his previous book Rauw (“Raw”), there was commotion within the evangelical community, especially because of the final sentence: “I believe that all people are children of God.” The reactions to that statement led to his new book Alle mensen zijn kinderen van God (“All People Are Children of God”). With this publication, the author firmly closes the door to the evangelical world behind him.

In chapter 13 (Adam stronger than Jesus?), he argues that Romans 5:18 is, for him, the core of the Evangel. Through Adam, all people became sinners and mortals, and through Christ, all people are justified and made alive. From this message, the question is no longer: who belongs? But rather: who dares to believe it?
