1Corinthians 6:9-10 – Royal

Paul more than once repeats above mentioned statement. See Galatians 5: 19-21 and Ephesians 5: 4 and 5. The list differ a little, but the purport is each time exactly the same. The subject is each time the code of conduct in the Kingdom of God, the upcoming government on the earth. We should envision that very concretely. From the moment that the Messiah will reign out of Jerusalem over all nations on the earth, his policy will be maintained strictly. Certain behaviour will not be tolerated. The evildoers who are mentioned here, will be thrown out as criminals. There’s no place for them within that Kingdom.
It’s true, several practices Paul refers to, nowadays are considered virtues, which should be defended. And according to Romans 1 God gives the world over to dishonourable passions. GOD does nothing about it. And also we aren’t called to fight such practices. Nevertheless, we already know the standards that we will maintain soon as kings. In order to distinguish ourselves in this world, already today, with royal dignity.
