Ephesians 2: 22 – GOD’s dwelling place, in spirit

Christ Jesus is the capstone of the corner. He is necessary for the dwelling place of GOD. That’s not a physical temple, as there once was, and will be in the coming eon in Jerusalem. But now it’s a dwelling place of GOD, “in spirit”. Spiritual. Unseen, a hidden reality.
GOD’s work today is building a spiritual dwelling place. Not built with bricks, but with people “as living stones” (1 Peter 2: 5). And GOD himself is the establisher of this building. That’s why it’s written that we, believers, “are being built together”. He adds ‘stones’ to this building. And He places them “on the foundation of apostles and prophets, the capstone of the corner, Christ Jesus himself”.
The issue for us, believers, is to stay on this foundation. Firm and unwavering. We shouldn’t be distracted “from the hope of the Evangel”. What people may think, feel, say or claim. That’s only “wind of teaching”.
